Hi, it's Tennille - the founder of JUST FRED.
JUST FRED began with Mo - my dachshund, my sidekick, my heart. He was with me everywhere: on set during shoots, perched on my shoulder at gallery openings, curled at my feet on the subway, tucked beside me at brunch. We moved through the world together. And in that world, I couldn’t find a way to carry him that felt like us - intentional, low-key, a little rebellious.
What existed was either clunky or cutesy. Nothing reflected the quiet bond we shared or the kind of life we lived - one shaped by design, art, and emotional presence.
So I made what didn’t exist.
The first tote I designed (the Weekend Tote) was for Mo, inspired by our rhythm and built for his ultimate comfort.
Later, Rizzo came into our life as a foster fail - a senior chihuahua with enormous size ears and an even bigger heart. He reminded me you don’t need to raise a dog from puppyhood to have them be your everything. His presence deepened the brand’s emotional mission and its commitment to senior dog rescue.
JUST FRED is my way of honoring that bond by creating products that let dogs live in the world with us, not apart from us. We design emotionally intelligent, design-forward carriers and accessories that make togetherness feel effortless, stylish, and full of intention.

We are committed to helping as many senior dogs as possible find the loving owners they deserve and reducing their time in shelters overall. For this reason, with every purchase made, we will donate 5% to help ensure senior shelter dogs are given the support, love and care that they so truly deserve.

We started this business Just for Fred. And Mo and Rizzo and every other dog like them. The ones who are our four-legged listeners, our guides, and companions. Our confidantes, and partners in crime.
We do what we do because we understand the bond between dogs and human can be thicker than blood. We believe that leashes weren't invented to avoid losing our dogs, but rather so we don't lose each other. From the Greatest Dane to the smallest mutt, we believe they all deserve the very best.
That's the secret sauce, really. From our totes to our pouches to our leashes, hoodies and beyond - all of our products are vegan and designed with love and passion for all the Fred's out there.
